Samsung will reveal its next Galaxy device at an event on February 21
in Barcelona as rumour has it.
The invitation to the "Unpacked" event doesn't explicitly say Samsung will unveil the seventh generation of its Galaxy phone, the S7,
but if it doesn't, the South Korean electronics giant might as well
pack it up and go home lol. All signs point to the electronics giant using
the event to launch the most recent version (or versions) of its
signature handset.
The
electronics giant needs a hit with the Galaxy S7. Despite positive
reviews and a welcome design move from plastic to metal and glass, 2015's Galaxy S6
did not keep Samsung from losing its global footing as budget-conscious
buyers gravitate toward phones from Motorola, Xiaomi and Huawei. And
even given Samsung's position as the world's largest smartphone vendor,
it has not put a dent in iPhone sales.
The event is officially set for 7 p.m. CET at the start of the annual Mobile World Congress show in Barcelona, Spain. Those not traveling to Barcelona can watch the Unpacked live stream on the Samsung Mobile YouTube channel, where the company posted a teaser trailer featuring a guy reaching out for a Galaxy cube through Gear VR goggles.
Though, not sure what Samsung's next flagship has in
store, but rumours has emerge that it will be the new Samsung Galaxy S7. See all of
Galaxy S7 rumour specification for more details.
